Preliminary Task

we have been working on our preliminary tasks this involves the 180 degrees rule, shot reverse shot and the match on action.
I was in a group with Della, Becky and Sarah the terms we learnt were match on action this means when the camera captious the subject reaching into a scene either zoomed in or out which we used by having me walk up to a door and reach my hand in to grab the handle this is a match on action. as i walk through the door to greet Becky who was sitting on the stairs this is were the 180 degree and shot reverse shot which are sort of the same thing but the 180 degree is restricted the camera would be at one persons shoulder and turn 180 degree to the other persons shoulder so that it cannot go past the 180 degree mark. were as the shot reverse shot does not have this rule and so you can shoot a conversation from any angle as long as you get the other person talking so its both views, which we did in our film with me and Becky also Sarah.
This task helps with the idea of different camera shots and keeping the person central which we did struggle on a bit, this helps give ideas for the 2 minute opening and how to film conversations and moving the camera without a tripod or a dolly keeping the camera steady.
i like the effect that ours gave by using these techniques it gave great emotion to the task showing this is defiantly what we want to put into the 2 minute opening.
