Thriller is a genre that is seen to be the suspense, tension and excitement of a film in this genre the primary sub genres would be mystery, crime and psychological thrillers. Famous people who used this genre like Alfred Hitchcock and John Buchan ( who is widely credited for inventing the literary thriller) they brought thriller into the cinema's and have had a great impact in the soon history.
The film The 39 steps in 1935 had a huge impact in this time and introduced thriller very well Alfred based this on the novel by John Buchan and the audience depend for the excitement on extravagant action scenes which they definitely had and the best thriller film makers tend to be master storytellers eschew showy displays of acting like Hitchock, John Frankenheimer and michael mann.
