The date we will be filming is going to be from the 28th through to the 30th of December and afterwards if we need.
We are able to get everyone there to film and have discussed that we will be filming around 5 o'clock pm this is because we wanted to set the mood at night so that it gives an eerie effect therefore creating a tense atmosphere.

Gemma- dark trousers, black hoodie and dark shoes this will represents the idea of Sara Gemma's character to be dark, mysteries and evil.
Jess- as she is me she will wear the same thing.
Sarah- casual clothes with coat hat and scarf as they are out side in winter. This will show her innocents and vulnerability.

FONTS
At our last meeting Sarah and I decided that I would research different types of fonts that we could use in our opening titles, by doing this i have been searching for a range of different websites to find creative fonts, that would also put across what type of genre we chose. I was using the Google search engine to find these different websites...
JGJ Uncial - the reason i thought that this would be a good choice for the main title is because it is quite sharp and different, but if we were to use this font then we would change the colours to something bright like reds and yellows and use a black background to make it stand out and making it look bold, insinuating the colours.
Argor Man Scaqh - I thought this would be a good choice for a opening title because it quite close together, showing claustrophobia with the word addicted. This would also have the same colour scheme as JGJ Uncial, as the colour scheme would bring out the evil and frightening sense that is received in the opening of Addicted.
I also found a couple of fonts that i thought could look effective when creating the other titles, from http://www.1001freefonts.com/ACharmingFont.php, such as producers, actors etc:
A Charming Font - I thought that this could be used for the other titles that we include because it is sticking to the sharp and thin font style, as well as it quite Gothic, which would show that in more parts of the opening it is going to be eerie and dark, building tension.
Abbeyline - This font i found would work well either of the fonts that we use for our main title, as it is also curly but in a creepy way. This would also symbolise the genre, as if it were going to be a happy romantic comedy for example it might have bubbly squiggly writing, but as its a thriller it has curly and sharp fonts.
we have not yet decided which fonts we are going to use, but we are in the process of doing that now, this will be decided in the next two days, which will then allow us an idea of how we are going to present it in the opening titles and how it is going to affect what people will think of the movie - is it going to attract them and make them want to watch it??
This is the one we have decided to have for the final piece of the 2 minute openiong.
PROPS
From our synopsis we decided which props we wanted to use. We have found that we will only need three main props through out the filming process, which are blood, a knife and lighter. We will be using the knife in the killing scene, but unfortunately I was only about to buy a plastic knife that does not look very realistic, but I will be buying a better one in the next week.
I chose to buy Gel Blood because it is runny and will drip really well off of the knife, but our original idea was to have blood pellets in the victims mouth, as when the neck is slit people blood from their mouth, so i will be purchasing them in the next week as well - but we will use this blood as well to make it look effective and creepy.
Looking at a voice over for the news report
We have also recorded the news report and linked it to the music which we are not able to add to the blog but will be added in the opening scene. This video shows an example of the sound in the background. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uD3u9N2Czng
The music we have chosen is Ghinzu - The Dragster Wave (from Taken movie) which we felt really showed how it portrayed the anger in the scene of her burning the photo.

Script
This is a rough outline of what the dialogue in our opening will be like, we decided that some of our dialogue that we will be saying in the opening will be improvised as it will then make it more realistic and show real emotion.
News Report will be played in the background
Melissa Wilson went missing in the early hours of December 19th 2001, 6 months after her disappearance she has been identified and found buried with fatal wounds to the neck her family are in a state of shock and would not comment.
Another girl Joanna mason was also identified and found buried with devastatingly large and deep wounds to the torso only a few meters away from Melissa, both girls went missing on the same day and the killer still remains unknown.
This is for the scene of the two girls as they walk out of the pub.
Melissa: That was such a laugh Sam was so drunk did you see him completely fall on his face (laugh)
Joanna: oh my god yeah he’s such a light weight.
Melissa: you know what, I don’t know what to do about Sara her parents have made her go cold turkey there’s just no helping her. (Drunken slur)
Joanna: yeah (not really paying attention)
Melissa: Be careful (catching Melissa as she walks into the road)
Joanna: (angrily) she’s such an idiot why did she have to do it to herself I trusted her and she does this.
Melissa: (upset) I know babe look its hard to be in control on that stuff but we can’t do anything.
Joanna: yeah what do I care anymore it’s her life we just have to have a good time without her. (Laugh)
Melissa: (nerves) Yeah.
(In the Forest girls walk by the pond and sit down)
Melissa: ahh I nearly slipped (laugh)
Noise in the background
Joanna: what was that (scared)
Melissa: nothing (nerves laugh)
Joanna: no it isn’t funny I heard something.
Melissa: yeah probably a bird.
Joanna: okay what ever I really need a toilet.
Melissa: then go over there.
Joanna: what!! I can’t go over there.
Melissa: go on no one is watching.
Joanna: fine!
(Joanna walks of into the forest.)
(Melissa panics a bit as she hears weird noises but can’t see anything.)
(You see Sara’s head appear right beside her head.)
Sara: (whisper) now you will know what it is like.
(Melissa screams)
(Sara slashes her throat and pulls her away)
Joanna: what’s going on don’t mess about.
(Joanna walks out of the forest and a shocked expression appears on her face.)
(Blackout)
SCREAM!!!!!!!!

Production Meeting
Now that we have got the location now we are looking at what type of music we will use for it.
We thought that this music would open our first scene perfectly which is the photo of girls on the wall and then moves to Gemma burning a photo.
We have looked at different types of classical music that the can use for the first scene the link we have is the one we might use.
Sound effect creepy chill this will be when we are near the forest as will over record this sound so that we can have this in the background instead so that it will give it a better effect.
This is for the effect that we might want to use.

Level 4
http://www.yaleblock1mediaproject.blogspot.com/
We studied the video that was marked and level 4 and so we looked at the criteria for the level 4 to see where they have portraid them.
Framing a shot, including and excluding elements as appropriate.
The framing of shots are good they change a t good times and there are a range of shots.
Using a variety of shot distances as appropriate.
There are many distance shots in it at the start of the shot of the guy running it was panning from a good distance and also the camera angle was facing up.
Shooting material appropriate to the task set.
They have used the things that are expected of them with th range of shots and the use of technique and much more.
Selecting mise-en-scene imcluding colour, figure, lighting, objects and setting.
He hs used the colour and lighting well like when there is the flashback they have used the black and white to show the darkness of emotion and the lighting is distinctive on the main character giving them status.
Manipulating photographs as appropriate to the context for presentation, including cropping and resizeing.
For the blog the cropping and resizeing of the images hs been used well to show different aspects of research.
Appropriately intergrating illustration and text.
He has used this to show his research which he has presented clearly and boldly in his own way.
Showing understanding of conventions of layout and page design.
He has clearly layed out his planning and reserch well showing all stages.
Showing awareness of the need for variety in fonts and text size.
This has been achieved well and gives clear understanding of what he is talking about.
Using ICT appropriately for the task set.
He has used a range of skills with his ICT.

Related clips for angles and Historical Background of Thriller
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kolQVDMW1IE
This video relates to the idea of the time line I create of the Juno's opening scene this is another opeing scene that shows goood timing and framing to the clip.
HISTORICALBACKGROUND OF THE GENRE: THRILLER
Thriller is a genre that is seen to be the suspense, tension and excitement of a film in this genre the primary sub genres would be mystery, crime and psychological thrillers. Famous people who used this genre like Alfred Hitchcock and John Buchan ( who is widely credited for inventing the literary thriller) they brought thriller into the cinema's and have had a great impact in the soon history.
The film The 39 steps in 1935 had a huge impact in this time and introduced thriller very well Alfred based this on the novel by John Buchan and the audience depend for the excitement on extravagant action scenes which they definitely had and the best thriller film makers tend to be master storytellers eschew showy displays of acting like Hitchock, John Frankenheimer and michael mann.

Preliminary Task
we have been working on our preliminary tasks this involves the 180 degrees rule, shot reverse shot and the match on action.
I was in a group with Della, Becky and Sarah the terms we learnt were match on action this means when the camera captious the subject reaching into a scene either zoomed in or out which we used by having me walk up to a door and reach my hand in to grab the handle this is a match on action. as i walk through the door to greet Becky who was sitting on the stairs this is were the 180 degree and shot reverse shot which are sort of the same thing but the 180 degree is restricted the camera would be at one persons shoulder and turn 180 degree to the other persons shoulder so that it cannot go past the 180 degree mark. were as the shot reverse shot does not have this rule and so you can shoot a conversation from any angle as long as you get the other person talking so its both views, which we did in our film with me and Becky also Sarah.
This task helps with the idea of different camera shots and keeping the person central which we did struggle on a bit, this helps give ideas for the 2 minute opening and how to film conversations and moving the camera without a tripod or a dolly keeping the camera steady.
i like the effect that ours gave by using these techniques it gave great emotion to the task showing this is defiantly what we want to put into the 2 minute opening.
TIMES
I have composed a time line for the film and will help with recreating this scene i have included the shots and what is happenig for the framing.
We looked at film strips from the the opening of juno so that we could see the times of the text when it appears. This is to help us to work out what our times will be for our 2minute opening.

TAKEN

This is from the trailer TAKEN i like this idea of the information being shown at the start given the detailed of what is happening and relates it to life.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Adgp0v_mfTk This is nightmare on elms street we were looking at the different camera angles of the shots with the close up of them getting killed shows the tension of it.
Looking at the women in saw alot of body language and the clear countertype of a women being a physco and killer for the genre.
Aileen was a very contrasting character looking at her showed the idea of the complex of characters.
